Clinton Earl Dunn, more often known as Clint, age 67 of Louisburg, Kansas, passed away May 28, 2016, peacefully at home. Clint was born on November 24, 1948 in Junction City, Kansas to Daniel and Wanda Dunn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Wanda, and his brother Rex Dunn.

He is survived by his loving wife Teresa Dunn and their three sons: Ryan Dunn, and wife Crystal Brower Dunn, Kevin Dunn, and wife Sarah Dunn, and Jarrett Dunn, and wife Jennifer Dunn. Clint is also survived by his sister Linda Ruzicka, and husband Tom Ruzicka. In addition to these family members, Clint is survived by five special people, on whom the sun rose and set for him, his grandchildren: Ryan’s kids Addison and Gavin, Kevin’s sons Henry and Grant, and Jarrett’s son Liam.

Clint was known for his honesty, integrity, and ingenuity. He was an avid golfer and could often be found with his friends at the Paola Country Club, particularly after his retirement. Clint always enjoyed a good laugh, especially a good pun battle with his sons. He was always quick to help anyone in need and would rather work through pain than take a day off.

Clint attended Kansas State University but soon found the need to continue to be an athlete. He then transferred to Pittsburg State University to play football. After deciding that an engineering degree was what he truly wanted he returned to Kansas State to finish his degree Civil Engineering and play baseball. Clint was also a member of the Delta Upsilon fraternity. After graduating from college, he left Manhattan Kansas and eventually settled in the quiet little town of Louisburg, Kansas. It was while living in Louisburg that Clint met the love of his life, Teresa. Clint, a country boy from Kansas, swept the California native off her feet when they met on a blind date set up by mutual friends and brought her to Louisburg to begin their family legacy in 1979. Early in his career he worked at J & J Metal Products in Paola and was currently employed for the last 15 years at Pretech Corporation.

While Clint and Teresa raised their three sons, he became known to a great many in Louisburg as “Coach Dunn.” Clint loved to coach any and all of the sports his boys played and that covered pretty much all the sports a boy could play. Being Coach Dunn made him synonymous with Louisburg Athletics for nearly one and a half decades.

While his family mourns the loss of Clint, the out pouring of love and support has been a blessing and they are all so very grateful. The reaction from the community has warmed their hearts in the difficult time.

A memorial and celebration of Clint’s life will be held on Wednesday June 1, 2016 at 6pm at the Paola Country Club, 29651 Old Kansas City Rd, Paola, KS 66071.

The family requests that anyone wishing to send flowers, send them to the Paola Country Club for the memorial and celebration of life.
