Nancy (Singleton) Schleicher, 78, Overland Park, KS passed peacefully Sunday, July 3, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.

Born December 31, 1937 in Wichita, Kansas, she was the youngest daughter of Tom and Helen Singleton. Nancy grew up in a close family that enjoyed spending time together at the family cabin in Colorado. Her upbringing taught her to be strong, kind, and grateful. She was a wonderful woman of many talents and strengths. Nancy enjoyed going to movies with friends, dozing while reading a good book, spending time with her grandchildren, and, most importantly, a good glass of wine. She was a woman of great faith and lived to serve God.

Nancy is now rejoined with her husband, Chuck Schleicher, who passed in 1999. She is survived and loved very much by her sisters, Barbara Pate and Laura Jean Broyles; her three children, Kelly Wink, Pete Schleicher and Eric Schleicher, her six grandchildren, Genny Wink, Tyler Wink, Kyle Wink, Colin Schleicher, Emerson Schleicher, and Gaston Schleicher. Strong, selfless, and beautiful until the very end Nancy will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 7, at 6:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 120 South Broadway, Louisburg, KS, 66053. A private funeral service will be held Friday for immediate family only.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to Catholic Charities on behalf of Nancy C/O Penwell-Gabel.
