Margaret Jane Arnett, age 89, of Louisburg, KS passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at North Point Care Center in Paola, KS. She was born on December 25, 1926 in Lee’s Summit, MO, the daughter of William H. and Gertrude L. (Hawkins) Parry. She was united in marriage to Ralph E. Arnett, Sr. on January 27, 1943 in Belton, MO.

Margaret worked in a clothing factory early in life and made many of her own clothes. She and her husband Ralph were in partnership with the family farm raising cattle and hogs. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Louisburg, KS and a member of the Eastern Star, receiving her 50 year pin. She drove a school bus for years which included driving to many sporting events. She and Ralph belonged to a local camping group and enjoyed cooking and meeting new people. She loved doing crafts especially making plastic canvas. Margaret enjoyed attending the Panhandle breakfast and eating with her lady friends in Louisburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ralph Arnett, one daughter, Debra Arnett; son-in-law Bob Ford; one brother, William H. Parry and one grandson, Kenneth Arnett.

Survivors include one son, Ralph E. “Ed” (Adena) Arnett Jr., Louisburg, KS; one daughter, Joyce Ford, Paola, KS; 6 grandchildren, Laurie Bauer, Mark Arnett, Mike McClellan, Jodi JoRay, Andrew Ford, and Taylor Arnett; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Sister Peter Parry, Kansas City, KS and many nieces and nephews.

The family suggests contributions to the First Christian Church, 602 N 1st St., Louisburg, KS.
