William “Bill” Lewis Kircher, 87, of Louisburg, KS, died at the Louisburg Care Center on Saturday, August 2, 2014. Bill, as he was known by family and friends was born on April 20, 1927 in Cleveland, Missouri. He was the oldest son of Frank and Eula Kircher. He was united in marriage to Lucille Larimore on September 6, 1949 in Creighton, MO. She preceded him in death on Thursday, August 1, 2002.

Bill spent the majority of his life in Louisburg, KS. He was employed by Panhandle Eastern Pipeline Company for 37 years before retiring in 1982. He loved a great game of golf, but he could be found watching the Royals every game day. His love for baseball started at an early age. When he was twelve years old he was playing with the local men’s team. He was an avid KU basketball fan. When building his home, Bill allowed enough space in his garage to have a woodworking shop. He was a master with a saw. The furniture he built for his family will be treasured forever. Bill was always making tool chests, quilt racks, shelves or just “little treasures” for friends. He was a very giving man.

Survivors include a brother, Frank J. Kircher and wife Mildred, Louisburg, KS; one daughter, Joyce Maynard, Louisburg, KS; two sons, Larry Kircher and wife Amy, Harrisonville, MO; and Karl Kircher and wife Becky, Macon, MO; seven grandchildren and two great granddaughters.

The family suggests contributions to Louisburg Senior Center or Crossroads Hospice.
