Arlene J. Swinnerton, 76, of Louisburg, Kansas died September 10, 2014 at Research Hospital, Kansas City, MO.

Arlene was born May 9, 1938 in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Arnold and Florence (Williams) Carson. She was united in marriage to Larry Swinnerton on March 17, 1979 in Omaha, Nebraska. She retired from Deluxe Check Printing. Arlene loved playing the game of Pogo and enjoyed singing, belonging to Boyd Mother Singers. And we can’t forget her beloved companion and friend, Slopoke.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Cynthia Dawn and one granddaughter, Magali Florence.

Survivors include her husband, Larry, of the home; one son, Henry (Jo) Johnson, Dacono, CO; two daughters, Michelle Johnson, Omaha, NE; and Dawn Marie Reinhard, Ottawa, KS two brothers, David (Claudia) Carson, MN; and Larry (Lisa) Carson, Canada; one sister, Phyllis Wickberg, Florida; one grandson, Shawn Kannegieter, Rocket, TX; one Great Grandson, Weston Kannegieter, Rocket, TX; step son, Dan (Dawn) Swinnerton, step-daughter, Pam (Chris) Miller, and step-grandchildren, Jessie and Zack Swinnerton and Cory & Kylie Miller.

The family suggests contributions to Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church.
