Nellie V. Montgomery, 74, of Louisburg, Kansas, passed away on March 29, 2015 at Louisburg Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born on January 16, 1941 at Loco, Oklahoma, the daughter of William and Nell Rose (Philpott) Null. She was united in marriage to Don Montgomery on January 8, 1973 at Fort Worth, Texas.

Nellie worked at Lindsey Management as an apartment manager for 25 years before retiring. She loved to fish and was an avid Bingo player. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Kenneth Null, and two sisters, Bernice Beam and Wilma Smith.

Survivors include her husband, Don, of the home; seven children, Kathi Schmitt, Louisburg, KS; Micheal Burnes, Houston, TX; Robert (Denise) Burnes, Goshen, AR; Steve (Rayleen) Montgomery, Wellsville, OK; Susan Finley, Clermont, FL; Crystal (Chris) Winsey, Clermont, FL; and David (Debbie) Winfrey, Hobart, OK; one sister Alice Moore, Loco, OK; eleven grandchildren, Kalli, Ty, Josh, Shawn, Jason, Tanner, Tracer, Jastan, Samantha, Heather and Hanna; and six great grandchildren, Parker, Jack, Meredith, Rylee, Brynlee and Nislee.
