Katy is survived by her beloved husband, Gary Scott. They were married in Stockton, Kansas on November 29, 1974, the day after Thanksgiving, and moved to Plano, Texas before settling in the Kansas City area in 1978. They were blessed to celebrate 40 years together with their family.

Sisters, Connie (Eldon) Kriley, Cindy (Stan) Murphy, Virgi Laska, Michelle McCall, Lucy Bielman, Brother, Duffy Laska, Great Uncle, Frank (Donna) Laska, Great Aunt, Bernice Laska.

She will be remembered always by the way she loved with all her heart, the way she prayed and never lost her faith, the way she held together and connected her greatest blessings: her husband and five children, the way she adored her grandchildren and “loved them too much”, and the way she decorated the world with flowers. She loved, and loved, and loved, and loved…

All services will be held at The Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Louisburg, Kansas. Thursday, April, 16, the Rosary will be prayed at 5pm and the visitation will be from 6-8pm. Friday, April 17, funeral mass will be at 10am with Monsignor Bergman celebrating.

Memorials can be sent to Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home for the purchase of a memorial bench and tree at Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead. Please make checks payable to Luke Scott.
