Jake Edwin Worthington, age 28, of Bucyrus, KS passed away at Olathe Medical Center on Monday, November 9, 2015. He was born on March 24, 1987, the son of Donald and Roberta
(Williams) Worthington.

Jake graduated from Louisburg High School with the class of 2005. As a senior in high school he was on the basketball team that went to the state tournament. He enjoyed playing baseball and watching the Royals, even traveling to many out of town games and celebrating their World Series Championship at the parade. He attended Kansas State University graduating in 2010 with a degree in Ag-Business. He attended numerous K-State football and basketball games, being one of their biggest fans. He enjoyed being on the farm and farming with the family. He worked for the past 3 months for D.M. Bruce Associates as an Investment Analyst. People always wanted to hang out with Jake. As one of his friends said “He was the straw that stirs the drink”. He even organized the Worth-O-Witch Annual Washers Invitational also known as WAWI, held at the Worthington family farm.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Cecil and Gertrude Worthington and his maternal grandfather Walter Williams.

Survivors include his parents, Donald & Roberta Worthington, of the home; three brothers, Jason (Audrey), Jarrod (Renee) and Jeff Worthington; two sisters, Kim (Stan) Silance and Jodi Worthington; grandmother, Betty Williams; five nephews, Brandon, Brad and Brett Silance and Landon and Liam Worthington; two nieces, Livia and Danielle Worthington and countless friends.

The family suggests contributions to Louisburg FFA or Holy Rosary Cemetery.
