Toni Ranae Scott, age 52, of Louisburg, KS passed away September 9, 2014 at her home.

Toni was born August 14th, 1962 in North Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Jack and Dorothy (Jones) Winslow. She was married to Larry Scott on August of 2000; he preceded her in death in 2006.

Her love for her family saw her move from the Midwest to California and back again to care for her three sons. Toni was a licensed CNA and RN. She spent much of her working life being a caregiver to people during some of their most difficult times. Toni also pursued beauty and cosmetology school, graduating from Cosmetology School in Olathe, Ks. She was constantly applying her skills to her family’s nails, as well as her own. She put others before herself. Her compassion for others compelled to reach out to others to help, that included animals as well as people.

She never met an animal she didn’t think needed her help. She was quick to make friends, and was quick to smile and laugh with friend and stranger alike. Toni loved to cook, and as a result would often be seen carrying food to neighbors to eat. She enjoyed doing crafts. She loved nature, whether it was out hunting mushrooms or gazing at the stars at night. Her enjoyment of nature was born out of her love for her Creator and Savior. And her relationship with Jesus certainly influenced her relationship with others.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy, father Jack, husband Larry Scott, sister, Billie Jo Acree, and sister, Brenda Mills.

Survivors include three sons, Kelly Stewart and wife Jessica, Independence, MO; Scotty Stewart, Louisburg, KS; Luke Stewart and wife Tasha, Illinois ; one brother, Hank Goodman and wife Peri, Louisburg, KS ; two sisters, Pat Allison, Holt, MO; and Judy Kelly and husband Fletch, Louisburg, KS; two granddaughters ; five nephews and one niece; extended family, many friends and three cats, Eep, Bubba, and Iggy.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Olive’s Hope Animal Rescue, Louisburg, KS.
