Larry N. Lynn, 65, of Louisburg, Kansas passed away on December 6, 2014 at his home.

He was born March 14, 1949 in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Henry and Marian (Simonsen) Lynn. He graduated from Washington High School with the class of 1967 and attended college at General Motors Institute, now Kettering University in Flint, Michigan. He was united in marriage to Diana R. Harris on January 9, 1971 at Monticello Methodist Church, Shawnee, KS.

Larry retired from Ford Motor Company in Lenexa, Kansas in 2004. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, watching KU Basketball, Chief’s football and NASCAR racing. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, traveling and being with friends and family. He was proud to coach his daughters’ softball team in De Soto, KS. Larry was a member of Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church, Louisburg, KS and Louisburg Lions Club. He donated his time in the community by serving Meals on Wheels and as a bell ringer for the Salvation Army. He was greatly loved and will be missed by many.

He is survived by his wife, Diana Lynn; children, Mark and Melanie Byrd and Michelle Lynn; grandchildren, Max, Madelyn and Marian; sister, Jane Baker; in-laws, Amy and Kim Nash and Lauren and Janis Harris; nieces and nephews, Laura (Alex), Alex (Nicki) and Sam; great niece and nephew, Clayton and Emma.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to the Toys for Tots program or Louisburg Senior Center which supports the local Meals on Wheels program.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude and appreciation for the outpouring of love and support to them at this difficult time.
