Mary “Mimi” Constance Nettels Gillin, 89, a proud native Kansan, born in the southeast coal mining community of Pittsburg, KS, on April 8, 1925, died New Year’s Day, 2015.

She was united in marriage to Hugh Clair Gillin, Jr. on June 17, 1947 at Pittsburg, KS which later ended in divorce. Mimi belonged to the Country Club Christian Church and sang in the choir for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George Edward and Mathilde Anne (Wulke) Nettels, one brother, John Curtis Nettels and one sister, Mathilde Anne Charles.
